What is your position at Irelands Real Estate?
Describe a day in the life of an Irelands property manager.
A day in the life at Irelands as a property manager is varied. I would describe it as one giant melting pot consisting of residential investors, residential tenants, animate and inanimate objects and communicating between people to meet their every day needs while also meeting the legal obligations of both the tenants and landlords.
What’s the most fulfilling part about working in property management?
The most fulfilling part of property management is meeting people. Without people, we wouldn’t exist. Working with both investors and tenants to provide both safe and healthy homes for families to live in is so important.
What’s the most challenging part about working in property management?
People, people and people. It’s all about communication, and thank goodness I am an expert communicator 😊
What hobbies do you participate in outside of working on the Irelands Team?
My hobbies include walking the dog, being out in nature and playing my guitar “badly”.
If you could invite anyone over for tea, dead or alive, who would it be, and why?
Muhammed Ali – He was focused, a fantastic role model, a great poet, boxer and comedian.
If you were not working as an Irelands property manager, what else would you like to do?
I’d be an interior designer, chef or self employed, as I have operated in these professions prior to property management and found that I hold a little bit of love for all of my previous careers.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, which book would you take with you, and why?
I would take “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Do you have a favorite quote that you’d like to share?
Work like you don’t need money. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Dance like nobody is watching – Satchel Paige
