Irelands' Pink Ribbon Morning Tea – October 2015

by Tracey Sparrow

The team at Irelands recently hosted a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea in support of Breast Cancer Awareness this month.  The event was a huge success!

Kirsty Kenneally, one of the wonderful ladies at Irelands, was the mastermind behind organising the event and co-ordinating all the wonderful ways in which the ladies were able to make donations to the worthy cause on the day.  The Irelands’ front office was a sea of pink leading up to the day.

The morning tea was held in the beautiful surroundings of the Canterbury Club on Cambridge Terrace and was attended by a fabulous group of ladies – all keen to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. The ladies all championed the cause by attending the event wearing or adorned in pink – they all looked gorgeous and it certainly brightened up the room!

Everyone enjoyed taking part in the various games of Bra Pong, Guess the Weight of the Pink Cake, Count the Jelly Beans etc.  There were a number of silent auctions and raffle tickets for some great prizes were on offer – all items kindly donated by Irelands, their team, friends, contractors and local businesses.

The Irelands’ team extends their thanks to everyone who participated in our event by purchasing raffle tickets, making a donation and/or attending the morning tea.  This all contributed towards raising over $2,000 for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. A fantastic result!

Irelands’ would also like to acknowledge the Christchurch businesses who donated their time and products to make the event the success it was:

  • Cam’s Cleaning
  • The Canterbury Club

  • Carlton Flowers

  • The Garden B & B
